Studio 1212 was founded in October 1970 is the oldest artist cooperative in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. It is a non-profit organization and is limited to thirty members.
This close-knit professional group of artists shares studio and gallery space in Clearwater Florida. Sharing instead of competing is our goal as we offer monthly critiques and workshops.
Many of our members exhibit their work actively throughout the state, nation and internationally. Members past and present are well known artists in their fields. Many hold signature memberships in national watercolor and acrylic societies.
Art education is an important part of our joint journey. On the third Tuesday of each month we offer an art critique that is open to the public. Our artists join together in a warm supportive atmosphere to try and help our members and others resolve challenges we are facing with our creative endeavors. Often the room resounds with shouts of “well done,” “way to go” and applause.
